Crandall Independent School District Presents

Crandall Chautauqua Crandall ISD will present a series of presentations designed to educate and inform parents and staff about topics of importance in education. An expert in each field will present information about the topic of the month. The presentation in December will focus on dyslexia. The meeting will be in the Middle School Library. The topic for teachers and staff will be: Characteristics of Dyslexia. The topic for parents will be: Study Skills for the Student with Dyslexia. Parents and friends of the District are invited to attend.
Date: December 5, 2011 Location: Crandall Middle School Library Time: 4:00-5:00 Session for teachers, and staff 6:00 Session for Parents and friends.

Topic: Dyslexia Gina Mitchell, dyslexia consultant from Region 10 Educational Service Center, will be the featured speaker this month. Ms. Mitchell works with parents and school districts in the Region 10 area to provide quality services for students with dyslexia. Her years of experience are a wonderful resource to the teachers in Region 10. She is a leader at the state level, where she served on the committee that revised the Dyslexia Handbook.
